From our Executive Director and Board Strategic Planning Chair
We are so grateful for the effort and time that our Strategic Planning committee and our FamilyWorks community devoted to this process. This strategy roadmap offers us a path towards our collective vision to support families furthest from justice and specifically those marginalized by food, economic, and racial inequities. We are committed to centering Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) families, who have experienced systemic racism resulting in wealth and income gaps that drive food and economic insecurity. And we are committed to employing equitable practices and policies in our programming to meet the needs of diverse families raising children, including those who have been marginalized because of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, first language, immigration experience, and socioeconomic status.
