Bring family resources and services directly to new housing communities, schools, and health organizations
FamilyWorks believes that our participants are best supported when we partner with other service providers to put a broad range of opportunities within families’ reach.
Families can meet one-on-one with our Community Connectors, discuss their goals and any challenges they may be facing, and get connected to a variety of wrap-around services that increase their economic stability.
We are a well-known and trusted partner with Seattle King County Public Health and its Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) team, which will have dedicated space to meet with families at our new Family Resource Center.
We opened a satellite family resource center at Broadview Thomson K-8 in fall 2023, and will continue to deepen our partnership with Seattle Public Schools and support more schools and families.
We will also collaborate with affordable housing providers including Bellwether Housing, Mercy Housing and BRIDGE Housing to bring family support resources to housing communities in North Seattle.
These partnerships will expand family support and resources in new and under-served communities.
"When Covid hit us, like most of American Families, our family got hit hard… I had a hard time paying my bills… my monthly rent, utilities and, also , [I was] pregnant with my first child. One of my friends told me about [the Satellite Resource Center at] Nathan Hale High School… that can help people with financial struggling. I met Anisa and Morgan… from FamilyWorks they went above & beyond their job. They devoted their time and effort to help me and my family through hard time."
