Our volunteer helpers go out in the FamilyWorks van and rescue food from our supermarket partners. The van goes out four mornings a week, rain or shine. This role is an essential part of our food bank operations, for bringing in food and for building relationships with local businesses. You would be helping one of our experienced food rescue drivers. Volunteers must be over 18 years old, be able to lift 50 lbs and not afraid of mornings or rain! This is the non-driving role.
